Marple staff raise over £10,000 for charity

Staff based in our Marple offices have raised an amazing £10,764 for charity over the last few years, with £1927 raised this year alone.

Money has been raised mainly by collections held on dress-down days and also from the culinary skills of the FCU who have been busy baking and selling cakes. Judging by the amount raised they must be fantastic cooks!

The money has been sent to over 25 different causes, ranging from large national charities such as Children in Need and Comic Relief through to local causes including the Stockport Canal Boat Trust and a number of local hospices. Recently over £770 has been donated to the Harley Slack Fund, which was set up to help a local four year old, who lost his limbs to septicaemia caused by Meningitis B.

Well done to everyone involved for such a tremendous result!
